    Local Pre-Pentecost Retreat on the Book of Romans

    Boston Immanuel Church has planned and prayed for the local pre-Pentecost gathering. The retreat will be held as a Romans mini-retreat for two days on May 11-12. The retreat will cover the message of Romans 1-3 about sin and salvation through Jesus Christ and include one prayer meeting on Saturday evening and following Sunday service. The church will also join the regional Pentecost retreat in NYC on May 20 and hopes this retreat can ignite our hearts for the work of the Holy Spirit through the Word and prayers.     Boston Immanuel Church prepares Palm Sunday this week with a grateful heart. The church has continued to invite people to this last Sunday service of Lent and prepares Sunday service with messages and prayers. Palm Sunday is when the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem is celebrated in many Christian churches so the church is also meditating the humble image of Jesus and also Jesus’ prayer on Gethsemane.     2018 NA East Coast Easter Retreat Registration Begins

    Boston Church will join the United Easter Retreat in NY from March 30th to April 1st. The 2018 Easter Retreat theme is John 11:25; Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die;” In total, this retreat will have 4 bible lectures on the cross of Jesus and resurrection, times of reflection held after every series of lectures, and prayer, worship night.     Boston Immanuel Church holds Christian Book Club from this week. All who love books and sharing time are welcome. The first book we will read together is ‘The Problem of Pain’ by C.S Lewis.     Boston Church Resumes Campus Bible Study Preparing Fall Semester

    Boston Immanuel Church has started active campus evangelism as many students come back to the schools. The church will offer Weekly Bible study on campus for college students and incoming freshmen.     Boston Members Receive Abundant Grace Through Northeast Summer Retreat 2017

    During August 18-20, members of Boston church attended Northeast Summer Retreat in Dover, New York and received abundant grace. Themed “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”(Romans 5:8), the retreat messages focused on the book of Romans 5-8. All attendants meditated the meaning of justification in Jesus and the path of sanctification and the dream of the Kingdom of God. One of attendant shared, “The book of Romans gives me a great strength to walk this path of faith with a clear understanding my identity in Jesus. I wish to sharpen my spiritual weapons continuously even after the retreat so I can win the race of faith following Jesus.”

    To prepare for the 2017 Northeast region Summer Retreat, the retreat registration link is launched. Themed “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”(Romans 5:8), the Northeast summer retreat will gather churches from New York, Boston, New Haven, Burlington and Montreal at Dover, New York on August 18-20th.
